The final ProTeens event of the Summer was "Water Wars!"  Everything was centered around water.  The evening began with trivia questions based on water, such as "The earth is made up of what percentage of water?"  Mr. Jackson and his daughter, Ashley, performed a skit based on an old "I Love Lucy" episode called "Teenagers are Fabulous," where the game show host (Mr. Jackson) tricks the contestant (Ashley) into mentioning water and dousing her with a bucket full every time she does.  The skit ends with the contestant trying to get revenge on the host but hitting the audience with a bucket of water instead.

The group was split up into two teams, the Penguins and the Torpedoes, and competed in water-related games.  The first was called "Foot Brigade," in which each team had to lie on the ground and pass a bucket of water from one end to the other with only their feet.  It proved to be harder than we thought! 

Next was the bucket relay, where the teams took turns running from the top of a hill to the bottom, filling a bucket of water from a large trash can, and running back up the hill and throwing the water in the next teammate in line's face.  When the bucket got to the last person in line for each team, that person took the empty bucket to the trash can and jumped in!  Both contestants jumped in head first, but Will's Face got stuck that way and had to get help from Mr. Corselius to tip the trash can over and save him from drowning!

The final game was "Pickett's Charge," which was essentially a huge water balloon battle in an open field.  Each team elected a general who had to sit in a chair and not move for the entire battle.  It was each "army's" mission to "explode" more water bombs directly onto the opposing general than the other army while, at the same time, protecting their own general as much as possible.  Each army had over 100 water balloons of various size and volume at their disposal, and they used them all!

In the end, the Torpedoes came out victorious.  The evening ended with watermelon and a devotional from Pastor Mike Davidson.
