What health services are available at the school?
  • Hearing and vision screening is done by local health department officials during the school year for certain grades. Parents will be notified immediately if any additional diagnosis is necessary.
  • Immunizations are the responsibility of the home and must be up-to-date for any student to remain enrolled at FCA.
  • If a student becomes ill during school hours, the office will phone the parents to come and pick up the student. A student must be fever-free and not have vomited for 24 hours before returning to school.
  • If it is necessary for a student to be given medication during the school day, the medication must be sent to school in the original container with the dosage clearly marked. In the case of over-the-counter medication, the parent must complete a non-prescription medication form and send it in with the medicine.
