Hearing and vision screening is done by local health department officials during the school year for certain grades. Parents will be notified immediately if any additional diagnosis is necessary.
Immunizations are the responsibility of the home and must be up-to-date for any student to remain enrolled at FCA.
If a student becomes ill during school hours, the office will phone the parents to come and pick up the student. A student must be fever-free and not have vomited for 24 hours before returning to school.
If it is necessary for a student to be given medication during the school day, the medication must be sent to school in the original container with the dosage clearly marked. In the case of over-the-counter medication, the parent must complete a non-prescription medication form and send it in with the medicine.
