 What are the graduation requirements at FCA? 

While every high school student at Frederick Christian Academy is initially placed in a college preparatory program, a more general course of study may be available for those students who require it.  The requirements are as follows:

            English: 4 credits

            Math: 3 credits

            Science: 3 credits

            History, Heritage Studies: 4 credits

            Bible: 2 credits (½ credit per year)

            Foreign Language: 2 credits

            Physical Education: ½ credit

            Health: ½ credit

            Fine Arts: 1 credit

            Electives: 2 credits

 

The following courses are required for the college preparatory diploma: Algebra I, Geometry, Physical Science, Biology, Health, U.S. History, and Speech.

 

Note: Seniors are required to take at least four credits.  They must attend at least half-days but may leave at 12:30 p.m. for work or school obligations if their class schedules permit.
