School closings for inclement weather or any other type of emergency will be announced as early as possible, usually before 6:00 a.m., through the following media:

In general our school follows the school closing decisions made by Frederick County schools whenever practical since they have more extensive information at their disposal.
Whenever school is dismissed early because of inclement weather or other circumstances, the school will alert parents through the SchoolCast emergency notification system and through local media. Parents should keep their emergency contact information current either in the school office or on the RenWeb website.
Aftercare is not available more than 30 minutes after the school closes for such emergencies.
