History
Frederick Christian Academy first opened its doors in September 1974 with 80 students, using the facilities of the Odd Fellows Home on North Market Street. In 1978 the school became a ministry of People's Baptist Church. An eleven-room educational building was erected on the church's 22-acre property to house the school.
Since that time the church and school have expanded their facilities to include a four-classroom high school addition and a spacious gymnasium. During its 31-year history, the school has experienced steady growth to an enrollment of approximately 300.
