Mrs. Lysa Peifer

First Grade Teacher

Lysa Peifer is a graduate of Hood College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Art. Lysa has been teaching for over ten years, primary as a reading specialist until she joined FCA in 2003 as a 1st grade teacher. She and her husband Tom have three children: William, Derek and Tommy.

Mrs. Hilary Young

Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Young attended FCA from K-5 through 12th grade.  She also attended Pensacola Christian College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  She has taught 2nd grade at FCA for 5 years.  She and her husband David have a one year old daughter, Abigail.

Mrs. Stacey McNally

Third Grade Teacher

Stacey McNally is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.A. in English Literature.  She has been an elementary school teacher at FCA since 1999.  Stacey also coaches the girls' cheerleading squad and has been named to "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." In addition to being a faculty member, Stacey is an FCA parent.  Her daughters Carlyn (10th grade), Heather (8th grade), and Reagan (6th grade) have attended FCA since 1998.

Miss Dawn Pryor

Fourth Grade Teacher

Miss Pryor is an alumnus of Frederick Christian Academy. She is a graduate of Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania with a degree in Bible and Elementary Education. She has served in Christian school ministry for 12 years. Her most precious Bible passage is Proverbs 3:5 and 6.

Mrs. Dawn Horn

Fifth Grade Teacher

Dawn Horn grew up in a Christian home with two brothers and two sisters.  After graduating from Cedarville University she started her teaching career in Christian education.  In 2002 she joined Frederick Christian Academy's staff.  She and her husband Chip have two children, Noah and Harmony.
